Kevin serves as the Associate Director of BCM for the WVBC. He leads the WVU campus in Morgantown and supervises and develops the other campus ministries in the northern part of the state. Prior to this role, Kevin served as pastor of Kingwood Baptist Church and Associate Pastor of Baptist Temple Fairmont. He also served on the BCM Board of Directors. As a student at Alderson Broaddus College, he was active in BCM, serving on its leadership team. He later served as the Associate in Ministry for BCM at his alma mater. After completing his BA in Christian Studies/Education at AB, Kevin did his Masters of Divinity studies and graduated from Palmer Theological Seminary. Kevin lives in Morgantown with his wife, Chasity, and they have three children: Miriam, Hannah, and Eli.

 

Jon Villers ’89

Jon Villers graduated from Alderson Broaddus in 1989 with a double major in accounting and management information systems. He went on to receive his Master of Business Administration degree from Averett College in 1995 and a Master of Divinity degree from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2002. In 2019, he started his doctoral studies through the WV extension of Palmer Theological Seminary. Jon is serving as the lead pastor at the Philippi Baptist Church since 2010 and as an adjunct professor at AB teaching an introductory class to the New Testament. In August 2020, he accepted the added position of interim Chaplain at Alderson Broaddus University. Jon is very active in the Barbour County community, serving as senior pastor for Barbour County Celebrate Recovery, and has served as president of the Barbour County Ministerial Association and treasurer for both New Vision and Code Blue Youth Alliance. He and his beautiful bride, Koreen (Mellquist) '88 of thirty-one years share four amazing adult children, Caleb, Allison, Thomas and Bobby, and two granddaughters, Elliet and Ada, with a third grandchild on the way!!
